// Copy/Paste This!

What’s this? A copy/paste travel guide!

My friends kept asking me for tips about cities I lived in and I ended up copy/pasting them! Lazy me :) And then I was thinking of printing these “emails to friends” and making a little light fun paper guide, but then I realized that’s not the point! The more you carry, the less you travel! So: Here’s my little link and tips collection of things to do apart from the sightseeing. What did your friends like in a city? Let’s be honest, we all love the familiar! Just copy/paste my little copy/paste tips for the city collection and off you go! Have fun in the city!

A good place to start: ISTANBUL

Absolutly PERFECT beans and great location. Make sure to avoid the water pipe bars next to it! http://www.fasuli.com.tr/

My favorite bar! http://www.ottoistanbul.com/#?page_id=552 the small Otto (kücük means small) Order FINDIKLI VODKA ! The other Ottos are nice too, the one at Santral istanbul http://www.ottoistanbul.com/#?page_id=548 is worth a visit! They have events and concerts there… so does Tamirane http://www.tamirane.com/#/tamirane , another restaurant on the campus. That’s where I did my shoot for ELLE turkey by the way!… but the whole super modern Campus in a whole other part of town than what you usually see, is, if you have a couple more days, def worth visiting! http://www.santralistanbul.org/main/index/

Next up: BERLIN!

With a little time and some good shoes you should walk around the city to get the feeling for some of the Berlin’s neighborhoods. All the parts of city are really like little towns themselves.

I am not great with hotel tips in any town, since I either had my own place or always stayed with friends (highly recommended!), but here’s a Hotel I did recommended a friend and she loved it. And they have a piano in the reception room! HOTEL MICHELBERGER. http://www.michelbergerhotel.com/

Let’s start out with Breakfast in Mitte at Strandbad Mitte http://www.strandbad-mitte.de/kontakt.html in the Kleine Hamburger Straße – just of Auguststrasse. Be advised to always take cash with you. Many places do not accept cards and especially in Mitte it is a drag to find an ATM, and once you found one they might charge 5 Euros. And don’t be surprised it waiters are rude by the way. Uhhh and for later, right next to Strandbad Mitte there is an amazing Ice Cream shop! The Eis Manufaktur! http://www.eismanufaktur-berlin.de/index-Dateien/Page352.htm I like the area around Auguststrasse, plenty of galleries and some nice shops. Right across from Strandbad, on Auguststrasse, you can see Clärchen’s Ballhaus. Great in Summer to have drink outside, or really just great to look at.
